Born in England to Nigerian parents, Okwu has been an expat since birth. His background in photography, sociology and interviewing subjects for print and film led to his first two books, various television appearances, the literary lecture circuit, and multiple photography exhibitions where he addressed the complexities of a racial U.S. Shining a spotlight on society's frailties in order to affect change drives him. His recently-completed manuscript, a novel entitled, THE STINK OF GENIUS, is another step in that direction as it explores the fading distinctions between fact and fiction...truth and lies. In addition to the United Kingdom and the United States, he's lived in Belize, France, and China and together with his wife and son has traveled extensively throughout the world.
